Having successfully captured the rogue ninja and retrieved the stolen scroll, Toneri and Guy were surprised to find the shinobi who had been tracking them now blocking their return path.

It was none other than a Tracker Ninja from the elite Anbu faction of the Hidden Mist Village. Judging by the masked shinobi's uniform and signature sword, Toneri identified them as a member of the infamous Seven Ninja Swordsmen group.

"It seems our mission has attracted some unwanted attention," Toneri remarked coolly.

"Identify yourself," Guy demanded, dropping into a fighting stance. "Why have you been pursuing us?"

The Tracker Ninja tilted their head bemusedly. "Come now, don't tell me you haven't heard of the Seven Swordsmen? I'm known as Tracker Slicer, and I'm here on orders to eliminate any Leaf pests interfering in Mist Nation interests."

Toneri scoffed in provocation. "You must not be a very renowned member then for us not to know you. And you clearly have no idea who you're up against. But ignorance can be bliss I suppose."

"Why you arrogant little...!" Slicer fumed, grip tightening around his signature serrated sword. "I'll have your head for that insult!"

Guy frowned seriously. "Let us pass in peace, and no further conflict will be necessary. We hold no quarrel with your village and wish only to complete our task."

The Mist tracker only sneered at Guy's attempts at diplomacy. "Oh you'll complete your task all right...when frogs grow horns! Now stand down before I get violent!" He began channeling chakra through his sword as killing intent spilled from his aura.

Sensing impending combat, Toneri activated his Tenseigan while Guy loosened his leg weights. If this shinobi refused peaceful resolution, they would handle him with extreme force.
