Toneri faced down the belligerent Tracker Ninja as Guy prepared to engage beside him. This "Slicer" was clearly an elite jōnin not to be taken lightly.

"Last chance to walk away quietly," Toneri warned, veins bulging around his Tenseigan eyes. "You stand no chance against my ocular prowess."

"Ha! Big claims for such a little pipsqueak," Slicer mocked. "I'm gonna dice you into pieces!"

He suddenly split into three identical copies that surrounded the Leaf duo before vanishing from sight.

"Clones and camouflage, eh? Tricky, but useless!" Toneri focused, evolving his dojutsu to the next level before the Mist ninja could capitalize on his distractions.

Now Toneri could clearly perceive the cloaked chakra threads connecting the clones to the real body. With Guy guarding his back, he calmly blasted the true shinobi's position from across the field, reducing the facade to mud.

"Im-impossible!" the exposed Slicer shrieked in dismay right before Guy's devastating kick connected with his torso.

The elite jōnin tumbled harshly through the dirt, his sword clattering away before he slumped unconscious.

Guy gave Toneri an impressed thumbs up which he returned subtly. After restraining the downed tracker for interrogation, the two Leaf ninja continued their trek home having successfully overcome another daunting trial. And Toneri's dojutsu evolved ever nearer to reclaiming its full multi-dimensional power.
