The next day, the classroom buzzed with excitement over the sudden start of the practical classes.
"Practical classes are starting this semester," Grace informed me, her gaze sympathetic.
I was shocked but not overly worried; a heads-up would have been nice, though.
"Remember to check your class notifications," the teacher reminded us.
Upon checking my smartwatch, I groaned at the sight of practical classes scheduled for the afternoon!
As the class progressed, students showcased their abilities, from telekinesis to rock-breaking and even vocal impersonations. Grace was broadcasting a dramatic reading of "The Vegetable Market."
Feeling out of place, I considered escaping to the restroom when suddenly, Blake tumbled into my embrace.
"Get up!" I snapped, annoyed by the interruption.
"I was just..." Blake started, looking forlorn as he offered his hand.
Ignoring his gesture, I stood on my own, only then noticing the vast classroom around us, filled with students practicing their powers.
From lightsabers to protective domes, the display was impressive.
"Amazing!" I couldn't help but exclaim, only to hear a scoff from beside me.
Blake, not practicing his powers, stood there pouting.
"Why aren't you practicing?" I asked.
He just huffed, turning away.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you earlier," I apologized, hoping to ease the tension.
"Hmm."
Feeling a headache coming on, I decided to head back to class, but Blake tugged at my sleeve, holding me back.
