Toneri leapt through the forest alongside Might Guy, the trees a silent green blur around them. They were on route to intercept an enemy cargo squad carrying sensitive intelligence.

"Our window is small once they cross into Fire Country," Toneri said, his pale eyes flickering in the dappled sunlight. "We must secure the intel before it reaches its destination."

Guy flashed a confident grin. "Yosh! We shall stop them with the full power of our youth!"

Soon the squad came into view, four shinobi bearing a sealed cylinder. Toneri and Guy dropped down in front of them while clones moved to block any retreat.

"Halt! You trespass on sacred land!" Toneri declared. "Hand over the container and we shall let you leave unharmed."

The squad leader snorted. "We will never surrender our cargo, especially not to the likes of you." Weapons filled every hand, their poses radiating lethal intent.

"Have it your way then," Toneri replied calmly before nodding to Guy. In a burst of sheer speed, they disarmed and immobilized the enemy. Toneri held the cylinder, scanning its markings with narrowed eyes.

"This bears the insignia of the Land of Earth," he noted. "But I suspect another hand at play in its delivery." He unsealed the container, quickly perusing the documents within. His expression darkened.

"It seems a coup is brewing within Iwa's leadership," he told Guy grimly. "And the intended recipient has a penchant for unchecked violence. This squad was delivering plans for assaulting Konoha to the expelled members of the Explosion Corps."

Guy's thick brows furrowed. "A dangerous threat indeed! What sinister snakes seek to challenge our proud village?"

Toneri's pale eyes turned distant. Shadow wars brewed beyond the borderlands, with Konoha firmly in unseen crosshairs. "Forces that do not yet wish to stand openly against us, old friend. But soon the time for subterfuge will end. When it does, we must be ready..."
