Toneri returned to his small but tidy house in the Hyuga clan compound. As a branch member, he was afforded some privileges and protection by the main clan. His days were simple but comfortable compared to other orphaned shinobi in the village.

Upon entering his home, Toneri noticed everything was spotlessly clean. Clearly someone had been tending to the cleaning while he was away on missions. The Hyuga family treated him almost like one of their own, appreciating his powerful Byakugan abilities.

Considering his identity as a Hyuga clansman, Toneri knew he needed to further develop his skills and increase his strength to properly defend the clan. Mastering the Gentle Fist style along with the Eight Trigrams Palms was undoubtedly the best path forward.

"I should also start practicing the Heavenly Return technique," Toneri mused. According to legend, this was a secret taijutsu passed down only to the Hyuga clan leader and heir. But with his Tenseigan eyes, Toneri quickly deciphered the method after a brief glimpse.

The next day, Toneri went to a remote area outside the Hyuga compound to practice. After a grueling morning session, he had roughly grasped the basics of the Heavenly Return technique, though much refinement was still needed for practical combat application.

After a brief rest at midday, an energized Toneri headed to the mission assignment center once again. As before, it was sparsely occupied with most shinobi rushing in and out. Due to his record of leading a genin team to complete a B-rank mission, Toneri was exceptionally granted clearance to accept A-rank missions. These were usually commissioned by government officials or large clans, normally reserved for at least Special Jounin level shinobi.
