An assistant came with a message.
"Dr. Lowell, the police have brought in a corpse for identification and examination."
Florence looked puzzled; she hadn't been informed of any such delivery.
"Which officer?"
"It says... Officer Forsythe."
"Forsythe...?" She tensed up. Forsythe - Farrell's family name. She immediately stood up. "Where's the body?"
"In the morgue."
"Alright, I'm heading there. Toni, David, come with me." She signaled them with her eyes, and they promptly followed her lead.
"Yes!"
Arriving at the morgue, Florence unzipped the body bag to reveal a male corpse on the autopsy table, a flicker of excitement in her eyes, though she maintained her usual composure. "Go outside and make sure no one comes in," she instructed them.
Excited, they nodded. Before leaving, Toni whispered to the corpse, "Clever plan." Then, she and David, barely containing their laughter, stepped out.
Once alone, Florence was about to scold the "corpse," but he moved first, pulling her down and perfectly capturing her lips.
