Her blood was being drawn away, sapped gently in the process. Florence's lips parted weakly, not uttering a sound, her entire focus on the tingling sensation at her neck. It was slightly numb, not unpleasant, with a dizzying thrill that made her skin crawl initially cool but then gradually warming up, as if intoxicated.
Florence closed her eyes, giving in to his needs, her limbs limp in his embrace, her consciousness light and floating. She must have been hypnotized, surely.
The sensation of a vampire's kiss was peculiar.
It dawned on Florence belatedly, why did it have to be a bite on the neck for him to feed? Drawing blood directly could have sufficed. Yet, he overindulged, leaving her to slumber deeply before awakening. The bite marks, curiously, left only faint rosy spots. And true to his word, Farrell's wounds healed completely after consuming her blood.
He had claimed not just her lips but ventured further to her ears and neck, growing bolder with each encounter.
Truth be told, Florence wasn't entirely ready for this romance, but someone was clearly impatient.
With the first kiss came the second, third, and fourth...
Farrell revealed the depth of his passion, his love overwhelming like a tidal wave, sometimes wild and unrestrained, other times romantic and tender.
This was trouble! She seemed to have fallen deep into the mire of love, loving a vampire felt thrillingly eerie. Most would be terrified, but... what did it matter? Her life and work were far from ordinary, and she had long accepted her unique outlook, often finding it hard to relate to ordinary men.
She used to live alone, but now she had constant companionship. Wasn't that nice?
By day, Farrell slept in his coffin, and by night, he stayed with her, claiming to protect her. He entered her home, stayed in her room, and even shared her bed, consuming her entirely.
To others, he was the epitome of a gentleman, but with her, he revealed his mischievous nature, endlessly teasing and tempting her.
She intended to give blood, not her body! Yet, she couldn't resist his advances, and they shared a love so deep and unforgettable.
