The wind howled furiously, sweeping across the vast expanse of the desert. Toneri and his squad were on a covert mission to rendezvous with an undercover agent from the Hidden Leaf Village. However, the mission was fraught with uncertainties from the start.

Initially, all contact with the Hidden Leaf undercover operatives was lost. Upon arriving at the prearranged meeting point, Toneri and his team found it deserted.

At that moment, Suzune, one of the team members, spotted several bodies of Sand Village ninjas lying on the ground. As she moved forward to investigate, a tall, red-haired man emerged from behind the corpses.

"Sasori?!" Mitsui blurted out the name of the notorious rogue ninja and master puppeteer, Sasori, in shock. Indeed, the person before them was Sasori, the renegade ninja known for his lethal puppetry skills.

Before they could process their astonishment, Sasori made his move. The chakra strings on the corpses suddenly sprang to life, revealing that they were being manipulated by Sasori's puppetry jutsu.

"Die, Hidden Leaf scum!" Sasori declared as torrents of red sand surged from all directions, trapping Toneri and his team in a deadly predicament.

The chaos that ensued was overwhelming. By the time Toneri regained his composure, all his teammates lay in pools of blood. "Suzune! Anko!" he cried out, with only Anko barely clinging to life.

Sasori, with a sneer, turned to Toneri and taunted, "So, it's just you left. Show me what you're capable of!" He then directed even more puppet-controlled corpses at Toneri.

Facing overwhelming odds, Toneri desperately activated his Reincarnation Eye, hoping to sever the chakra strings. Fortuitously, his Reincarnation Eye had evolved to intercept chakra and counter such summoning techniques.
