After successfully escaping to the vampire castle, Lilith Blackwood was hailed as the greatest hero for her role in annihilating the werewolf tribe. However, she secretly hid the injured Azrael in her own castle to recover. Azrael's wounds were so severe, and the excessive blood loss had left him unconscious for an extended period.

Lilith Blackwood decided to perform the Embrace, turning Azrael into her one and only vampire, establishing an eternal bond and sharing their power. Originally an A-rank vampire, Lilith was astonished to find that her strength had skyrocketed to the S-rank after the Embrace, a testament to Azrael's incredible power and constitution.

Despite becoming a vampire with enhanced regenerative abilities, Azrael's injuries were so grave that he could not even get out of bed, only able to speak. The two engaged in a lengthy conversation. Azrael wondered why Lilith had been so kind to him, to which she replied, "You are the best blood bank. Your blood is so delicious that I simply can't bear to leave you."

Azrael joked, "I was once told by a demon that my soul was delectable, and now a vampire says my blood is sweet. Am I a treasure trove from head to toe?" After their lighthearted banter, Lilith mentioned that the Vampire Progenitor's source blood might have the power to help Azrael recover.

Azrael was reluctant to let Lilith take such a risk for him. However, as the great hero who had even given up her right as the heir to the vampire family, Lilith was determined to obtain a single drop of the Progenitor's source blood.

The source blood was hidden within a mysterious structure known as the "Temple of Blood," accessible only to those who could survive a perilous trial with a one-in-ten chance of survival. Other members of the vampire clan advised Lilith to wait until she reached the SS-rank before attempting the trial, as going now would be tantamount to suicide.

The Vampire Lord informed Lilith that only by securing first place in the Clash of Bloodlines tournament would she gain the right to enter the Temple of Blood. After half a year of living in Lilith's castle, Azrael still could not recover his strength, his magical power completely depleted. However, he remained calm and composed, while Lilith refused to accept his fate as a cripple.

Lilith taught Azrael various vampire abilities, and with his top-tier talent and unique constitution, he discovered that he could transform into Lilith's shadow, undetectable to others. Even without magical power, Azrael's vampire abilities alone granted him A-rank strength.

Now, with Azrael as Lilith's shadow, the two could work together to reach the peak of S-rank power. They trained in tandem, preparing for the upcoming tournament.

"Azrael, I won't let you remain like this forever," Lilith declared, her eyes blazing with determination. "We will win the Clash of Bloodlines and obtain the Progenitor's source blood. I swear it."

Azrael smiled softly, touched by her unwavering support. "Lilith, I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me. But please, don't push yourself too hard. I don't want you to get hurt because of me."

Lilith scoffed, "Don't underestimate me, Azrael. I'm the Vampire Priestess, remember? With you by my side, there's nothing we can't achieve."

As they continued their training, their bond grew stronger with each passing day. Azrael marveled at Lilith's strength and resilience, while she found solace in his steady presence and unwavering support.

Together, they prepared to face the challenges that lay ahead, their hearts filled with a mixture of hope and trepidation. The Clash of Bloodlines would be their greatest test yet, but with each other to rely on, they knew they could overcome anything.
