I and Emily had slipped steak knives into their sleeves, hidden by coats.

Five minutes passed rapidly as always. The arrival bell clanged and the train whistled. Passengers started trickling back aboard.

"It's now or never. Let's do this."

We again lingered on the platform under the pretense of admiring the view. As departure bell rang out, i gave Emily a meaningful nod. We sprinted towards the two patrolling guards.

Emily tackled one guard from behind while Jack stabbed at the other's chest, piercing his uniform. The scuffle lasted only seconds before guards went limp in the snow. I grabbed a pistol.

The five minutes had long passed. We couldn't return to the train now.

I and Emily lingered, desperately scouring every corner again for clues or shelters.

Emily shot I a worried look. "I told you, there's nothing here! No clues or shelter. Just empty snow." She hung her head despondently.

"Don't give up yet!" I said. "We haven't checked under all this snow. Could be something hidden."

Frantically sweeping away snowdrifts, I eventually revealed a section of the platform's hard floor. I gasped as it glinted almost like a mirror. I brushed away more snow to uncover reflective mirrors stretching the length of the platform.

"Of course! A clue about telescopes and mirrors!" I cried. "Bet there's something similar hidden at every station."

I whipped out my knife and frantically started hacking at the mirrors.

Emily and Amelia caught on and quickly joined in, picking up anything hard they could find and furiously smashing the floor. But it was like trying to extinguish a fire with a cup of water.

I shoot with pistol and then heard the most beautiful sound of shattering glass.

It was like music to my ears.

The floor of the entire hall, mirroring the surface of water, cracked open from the center, with the fissure widening rapidly.

White light struggled to break through the cracks, and the entire hall, no, the entire Hubble Station, shook violently.

Amidst the thunderous noise, with no other choice, I yelled at Emily and Amelia, "Jump!!!"

As the world around us crumbled, we leapt into the white light.

Even though I couldn't open my eyes, the anticipated pain of being torn apart never came.

I knew then that I had won the bet.
